Another elevated tee shot on this very straight penultimate hole.
There are no fairway bunkers to negotiate but the fairway is lined on both sides by copses of trees.
Like many holes at Cowglen favouring the left side of the fairway will give the potential of a slightly better approach to the green, however the trouble that protects this side is worse than that on the right.
The second shot needs to be straight in order to avoid the greenside bunkers that lie in wait on both the left and right side of the green and due to the dead ground beyond the road and the prevailing wind an extra club is advised.
The green slopes left to right and similar to the first green is at its most severe towards the back.
