Past Captain Stephen Machin was laid to rest yesterday. A beautiful service took place in St Brides Chapel East Kilbride.
Hundreds of people attended to pay their respects, a reflection of the lives that Stephen touched both on and off the golf course.
An ambassador of the game as well as a Champion, he was an integral part of Cowglen Golf Club for over 35 years
as well as the @glasgowgolfunion for which he was in office as President.
To honour his achievements and the recognition he brought to Cowglen and cherish his legacy, our 18th hole is to be renamed after him.
The final details and naming ceremony that will ensure the ‘Machin’ name will be forever associated with our club will be made known at the appropriate time
