Cowglen Academy & Practice Facilities
“The Cowglen Academy” was opened on the 21st June 2014 by the wife of the clubs late President Charlie Mackenzie.
Given Charlie’s vision that a covered facility would help to further nurture and develop the junior game it was fitting that the first shots were hit by members of the clubs junior section.
With six bays and a separate teaching studio the Academy has elevated Cowglen’s already excellent practice facilities to a whole new level allowing all year round practice and coaching whatever the weather and was key in the club being selected as a Scottish Golf Development Centre.
Baskets of balls are available for hire from the shop which are collected by the staff therefore eliminating the cumbersome ( and often dangerous) task of retrieving ones own balls.
“The Academy” is for members and their visitors use however a limited number of Practice Area Memberships are available. This membership allows full use of all practice areas (below) at the club at all times*
*restrictions may apply when coaching or other activities are taking place which will apply to all members.
