The fifteen players with the lowest scratch scores from two of four qualifying medals shall qualify with the existing Champion to compete by match play for the Championship of the Club and the George Mackie Trophy
Forty-five players (plus ties) with the lowest net scores over one round, shall qualify to compete on over 18 holes of stroke play for the the Allan Craig Quaich (club handicap championship). Both rounds to count.
The player with the leading scratch aggregate score over 36 holes will receive Edgar Weir trophy.
A 36 hole handicap competition run concurrently with the Edgar/Weir Trophy (for players with handicaps of 12 or less), the player with the best aggregate score will win the putter.

The Competitor with the best score will have the custody for one year
The Competitor returning the lowest aggregate of three scratch scores in the Monthly Competitions from April to September, inclusive will have custody for one year.
The Competitor returning the lowest aggregate of three scores in any class in the Monthly Competitions, from April to September, inclusive, will have the custody for one year.
The Competitor returning the best net score will have the custody for one year. Blair Medal - The Competitor returning the lowest aggregate scratch score in the Spring and Autumn meetings will have the custody for one year.
The Competitor returning the lowest aggregate handicap score in the Spring and Autumn meetings will have the custody for one year. No member may win both the above trophies in the same year. In this event he takes the Blair Medal and the Davidson Trophy goes to the runner-up in the handicap section.
A fourball better ball competition played over the winter months.
The eight players with the best two aggregate scores out of four in the following competitions:- Spring medal, May medal, Greenkeeper’s day, June (Gleneagles) medal shall qualify to compete.

A prize will be awarded to the players in both Silver and Bronze Divisions with the lowest net score. Competitors returning the lowest net scores shall qualify to compete in the Medal Finals Competition the following year.
This brooch is awarded to the competitor returning the lowest net score, either Silver or Bronze Division, in the May Medal.

Knock-out Foursomes Competition. Presented in 1948 by Mr Andrew McCallum in memory of his wife who had been a member of Cowglen Golf Club for many years.
Awarded to the competitor returning the three lowest scores in medals (April to September inclusive) six in all. Presented in 1967 by the Committee in honour of Mrs E A Connell having won the Ladies Championship ten times.
Awarded to the Bronze Division player returning the two lowest net scores out of four in the qualifying rounds of the Championship. Presented in 1973 by Mrs N Forrest in memory of Margaret McGregor.
Past-Captains only are eligible to compete and the Salver is awarded to the competitor returning the two lowest scores in Spring and Autumn Meetings, Professional’s Day and Greenkeeper’s Day. Presented by Mrs J Carson, a Past Captain, in 1968.
Awarded to the competitor in either Silver or Bronze Divisions showing the most improvement over the season. In 1981 Miss Mary Peddie, a Past Captain and Champion, bequeathed to the Ladies Section £250 and the above trophy was presented in 1982 in memory of Miss Peddie. Daffodils were also planted on the course in Miss Peddie’s memory.
Only those admitting to 50 plus are eligible to compete and the Salver is awarded to the competitor returning the lowest net score, either Silver or Bronze. This competition was introduced in August 1977 and in the first few years a miniature silver champagne bucket was presented to the winner, but in 1981 this trophy was replaced by a silver salver, presented by Mrs J Paton, who had been Captain in the inaugural year of this competition.
This trophy will be competed for in conjunction with the Autumn Meeting. Past and present Committee Members are eligible to compete, the trophy being awarded to the competitor returning the lowest net score, either Silver or Bronze. Presented by the Committee in 1984 in memory of Miss J Scott a Past Captain and Champion.
A trophy awarded to the members in both Silver and Bronze Divisions making the most Birdies during the Summer month competitions. Presented in 2001 by Mrs A Brawley.
